Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or in a related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Technical Lead, Developer, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: experience in Bigdata on Cloud Platform, Hadoop, Spark, Java, and Python; Big Data Hadoop ecosystem technology stacks including HDFS, Spark, Hive, and MapReduce; experience with AWS data lake or with two or more of the following analytics technologies: S3, IAM Athena, EMR, Redshift, QuickSight, AWS Glue, Databrew, or Apache Airflow; version control tools including Bitbucket; job scheduling and code deployment tools including Jenkins and CI/CD Pipelines; developmental toolsets including IntelliJ; Junit; databases including Oracle and Teradata; Data mart design and development; Application, Data and Infrastructure architecture disciplines; Angular; Apache Zookeeper; Cloud Services including AWS and Azure; Java; Maven; Spark; SVN; UNIX; Dynatrace; Hive; Javascript; Shell Scripting; Apache Kafka; GIT; Python; Cucumber; Hadoop; Linux; Software Development; SQL; TypeScript or XML; Control M; Ab-Initio.
