We are looking for a Software Developer to support a legal organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania through a Long-term Contract engagement. This role centers on building and enhancing automated legal documents while partnering with a technology-focused team that improves attorney workflows and client service. The position is best suited for someone who combines strong development skills with sound judgment, independence, and a practical understanding of document-driven processes in a services environment.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain automated templates for legal and practice-related documents using document automation platforms and related development tools.
• Collaborate with attorneys, business stakeholders, and technology team members to translate document requirements into efficient automated solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between document automation tools and complementary legal technology services when needed.
• Write, test, and troubleshoot code using technologies such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and JavaScript to improve document generation performance and reliability.
• Manage updates to automated documents, ensuring accuracy, version control, and alignment with current legal and business requirements.
• Work independently with limited oversight while prioritizing assignments and making sound decisions within the scope of the role.
• Contribute ideas that improve automation processes, user experience, and operational efficiency across document-focused workflows.
• Provide technical support, documentation, and knowledge sharing to help users and team members adopt automation solutions effectively.• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with legal or document automation platforms such as HotDocs, Contract Express, or Document Drafter.
