Summary

Performing machining operations on metal or plastic materials to produce parts that meet quality standards per provided specifications and to ensure customer delivery commitments are met.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operation of equipment including start-up procedures, daily maintenance, and equipment operations.
  • Performs work in accordance with traveler and work instructions.
  • Verify parts produced comply with all quality requirements, by using company inspection techniques.
  • Supports the machine conversion process per required production schedule based on skill level.
  • Collaborates with department technical leaders (MQE) to ensure machine programs meet quality and performance objectives.
  • Performs technical end-of-shift duties, end-of-job, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Observes safety policies including personal protective equipment requirements and hazardous/emergency procedures.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to being punctual and reliable.
  • Effectively communicate in the English language.

Knowledge and Critical Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic shop math.
  • Interpret instructions both written and oral in English.
  • Able to work in a team environment to resolve work issues.
  • Understands material types and follows product handling procedures.
