Summary:
Planning and scheduling resources to fulfill customer requirements. Coordinates between Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Fulfillment teams to optimize resource utilization and proactively monitor results leading to successful on-time delivery.
Level I
Entry level position learning to follow procedures for scheduling and monitoring daily movements of production, product, processing, work in process, and inventory. Basic education on Epicor ERP as necessary.
Level II
Intermediate level position that plans production activities and helps to establish priorities. Uses ERP to firm up MRP suggested jobs, completes PSFP's, and delivers commitment dates to Customer Fulfillment team. Monitors PSFP exceptions, setup schedules, and helps provide recovery plans where needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews methods of manufacture (MoM) and other documentation to schedule production, determine material requirements and establish production sequence.
  • Finite scheduling of all customer jobs via Job Status Maintenance (EPR, SU, PR, MRP)
  • Completion and monitoring of PSFP's for all customer jobs
  • Creation and on time fulfillment of EPR jobs, working with MPE/MQE teams as required
  • Status management of all plans relative to initial production setups (PSFP exceptions)
  • Key liaison between CF and Operations teams to provide proactive communication and early visibility of any issues with internal or customer impact.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Detail and objective oriented, communicates effectively both written and verbally, independently motivated and organized to track toward deadlines, basic to intermediate math and Office/ERP skills helpful.
Education and Experience:
College-level coursework or a high school diploma preferred. Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not necessary.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit long periods of time, view computer monitor, periodically walk and or travel to other areas of the plant as directed, occasionally exert push force up to 30 pounds, must have good eye sight and hand dexterity, and able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Environment:
Within safety guidelines, there will be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
