We employ a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals developing and manufacturing a new generation of technologies and products. We are seeking a Technician in our Chino, CA office, where we develop optical test and measurement equipment and fiber optic sensing products that transform our customer’s ability to make measurements in demanding applications.

A Technician plays a key role in producing, assembling, and testing mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic components for cutting-edge sensing products. Collaborating closely with engineers and research teams, this role supports product development through hands-on experimentation and troubleshooting. Technicians follow detailed assembly processes, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in the optical test and measurement industry while working in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic components on a manufacturing line, following precise specifications and quality standards.

• Perform functional testing and inspection of fiber optic assemblies to ensure product performance and reliability.

• Follow detailed assembly and test procedures, maintaining strict adherence to established guidelines.

• Assist in identifying and troubleshooting basic manufacturing issues, providing timely resolutions.

• Support manufacturing and test engineers in conducting experiments and product evaluations.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment according to established procedures.

• Accurately document test results and assembly data using digital tools like Word and Excel.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to suggest and implement improvements in assembly and manufacturing processes.

• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and follow all safety regulations and company policies.

• Any other duties as necessary or requested by the supervisor.

Desired Experience:

• Basic circuit knowledge or soldering experience is a plus

• SM/PM optical fiber splicing experience is a plus

• SM/PM fiber length testing experience is a plus

• SM/PM connector and polishing experience is a plus

• Experience cleaning and assembling metal components under a microscope is a plus

• Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is a plus

• Microsoft Suite proficiency is a plus

Work Experience Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in manufacturing of production
