Position Title
Epic ADT Prelude Application Analyst I
Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
This is an entry level position that provides technical application support for Epic applications, analyzing, evaluating, and troubleshooting and provides analysis of multiple application. The analyst understands and translates the business functionality into the Epic systems configuration and workflow. Plans and prepares ADT/Prelude test scripts for application testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing.
Provides ADT Prelude application and technical support for the product line in addition to providing triage and troubleshooting to customers. Monitors the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity and appropriately escalates issues/problems. This role provides system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration as well as testing of the product.
Under supervision, gathers and analyzes user needs for developing and modifying applications in the healthcare environment. Analyzes results, proposes solutions and/or recommendations in addition to building, configuring and/or modifying the Prelude application using existing application tools. This role also provides application support and assists more senior analysts in preparing written documentation and specifications.
The ADT/Prelude Analyst is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of Epic System's ADT/Prelude software and serves as a liaison between end users and under the direction of more senior analyst's works with the Epic implementation staff. The Analyst routinely performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details/specifications, and assists with technical issues and documenting the internal procedures that are used in conjunction with Epic's applications, designs, builds, tests, installs and maintains those solutions. Evaluate and understand dependencies between applications to understand if making a change in one application would have a negative impact in another application.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a health, science, or business field, or an equivalent level of professional experience required.
Experience:
Minimum one year industry related experience in a IS setting (Healthcare/Health Services, Information Services) or within applicable area in healthcare operations, with a minimum one year progressively responsible experience in information applications, including performing programming or applications analysis, or equivalent. An understanding of hospital inpatient, clinic outpatient operations, and/or financial software (Patient Access).
Some knowledge in the operation of a hospital/clinic as it relates to patient access, registration insurance verification, scheduling, and revenue cycle.
Certification/Licensure:
Epic certification: application specific to be obtained within nine months.
