Job description

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, LLC office in Raleigh, NC.

Develop secure, reliable and scalable software, primarily in Golang, OpenShift and cloud-native technologies. Work in an agile team using agile development practices based on test-driven development and DevOps.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain controllers and operators to the provided spec. Integrate with various cloud backup providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). Implement new features based on backup and restore enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to backups and restores.
  • Responsible for performance tuning and optimization of controllers according to the provided spec.
  • Participate in the upstream open-source community by submitting patches, features, documentation, and participating in forums, and speaking at user groups and conferences.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: high level programming; developing REST APIs; collaborative software development; public cloud platforms; and support tools, including version control and pipelines.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience developing and benchmarking AI services.

The salary range for this position is $125,315 - $154,190/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency
