This position is located at NAF Support Management/Information Technology.

Duties
Help
  • Under the lead of a full performance specialist, carries out highly structured, entry-level assignments in the design, development and maintenance of databases.
  • Assists in returning disrupted database systems to normal operations. Creates reports and manipulates data in response to customer requirements.
  • Communicates factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing. Gathers and analyses basic facts and draws conclusions.
  • Diagnoses and resolves basic data management problems and issues. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices.

  • Must be able to obtain COMPTIA SECURITY+ Certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree with a major study (minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours) in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. *Your education must be listed on your resume, and your transcripts must be uploaded with your application to be considered eligible for this position.

OR
  • Possess intensive training providing you an IT Certification that has provided you with the demonstrated knowledge and skills in applying the following: Database management concepts; backup and recovery procedures; and commonly used query languages to create reports and manipulate data. *Your training must be listed on your resume, and your completed IT Certification must be uploaded with your application to be considered eligible for this position.

  • Possess at least one (1) year of experience performing duties that have provided you with the knowledge and skill of - Database management concepts; backup and recovery procedures; and commonly used query languages to create reports and manipulate data. *This experience must be included on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.

  • Possess a combination of the above listed experience, education and intensive training - to provide you with you the knowledge and skill of - Database management concepts; backup and recovery procedures; and commonly used query languages to create reports and manipulate data. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  • This job is open to candidates who is in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Rucker, AL).
