About the role
We are hiring an Analyst to support the Emerging Markets Credit desk in Santander's U.S. Corporate Investment Banking, with a focus on quantitative analysis, technical tooling, and day-to-day desk support. This role partners closely with trading and sales to improve models and analytics, ensure accurate P&L reporting, and deliver high-quality statistical and market work for primarily internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
  • Provide desk support across Emerging Markets Credit, including daily P&L reconciliation, explaining drivers, and investigating breaks
  • Build, enhance, and maintain pricing, risk, and performance models
  • Perform statistical analysis on market and trading data
  • Develop and automate tools and workflows to improve efficiency, controls, and data quality (data pipelines, dashboards, reporting)
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc analytics for internal clients (Trading, Sales, Risk, Finance, Control)
  • Communicate clearly with desk stakeholders, translating quantitative outputs into actionable insights
  • Support process improvement initiatives, including controls, governance, and best practices around data and models

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (required), preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance)
  • Strong quantitative foundation and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical skills, with demonstrated ability to work with data and build tools
  • Experience with bonds and fixed income products (preferred)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced markets environment with strong attention to detail and control mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, including the ability to partner with trading and sales
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver reliably, and work effectively with internal clients

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
