Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Community Liaison is an entry-level, possibly mid-level role responsible establishing and maintaining contact with likely client referral sources within the company's operational territory extending from Federal Way and Auburn to Graham and Spanaway. The Community Liaison furthermore maintains the CRM database of referral sources and communications, and might contribute to broader marketing efforts. Growth opportunity is possible! The Community Liaison reports to the Administrator.

Nonexempt, Hourly

HOURS OF WORK:

This position is intended to be 20-30 hours per week.

LOCATION:

This is largely a field position. Occasional visits to the Puyallup headquarters will be required.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive business growth by spending most work hours in the field developing referral relationships that result in Client referrals.
  • Effectively articulate the benefits of private duty homecare services to referral sources and consumers.
  • Educate referral sources and the community about the referral process, Agency differentiators, and the ease of making referrals.
  • Become familiar with major competitors and differentiators among them; perform research as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of a quarterly marketing plan by assessing opportunities primarily within the operational territory and identifying specific marketing objectives with measurable goals. Advise the Administrator about material and budgetary needs to achieve these goals.
  • Establish a hierarchy of referral sources to determine the frequency of communications and visits as well as the potential involvement of the Administrator.
  • Accurately and punctually enter referral source contact information, communication history, referral linkages, referral source ratings, and other relevant data into the CRM database. This should not consume more than 10% of work hours.
  • Contribute as needed to content for mass e-mails, marketing materials, social media, and the Agency websites.
  • Participate in community marketing events and Agency events as needed, potentially including consultations with prospective Clients.
  • Attend a weekly in-person or virtual meeting with the Administrator.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with employees, Clients, and other external parties.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to employees, Clients, Clients’ families, and business operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma and preferably at least one (1) year of experience in a professional marketing or communications-focused role. Formal business training is preferred. Prior homecare, senior care, or healthcare experience is especially desirable.
  • Willingness to complete Home Care Aide (HCA) training in the absence of prior relevant experience is desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to optimize driving routes.
  • Strong leadership, organization, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, scheduling systems, and other healthcare industry-related software.
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, diplomatically, and proactively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm, and maintain a sense of humor in all situations.
  • Ability to autonomously plan, organize, prioritize, delegate, and accurately complete work activities within specific deadlines while managing interruptions.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • A reliable personal vehicle.
  • Comfort with fast-paced and driving, walking, standing, and sitting.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to fully meet the requirements of this position.
  • Must be able to work punctually and effectively in a remote home or office setting of their choice.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may also be required.
