Electrical BIM Modeler
Location: San Jose, CA & Sacramento, CA
Experience: Minimum 1 Year

Salary: $60,000-$95,000 annually (DOE - Depending on Experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical BIM Modeler with at least 1 year of experience to join our growing team in San Jose and Sacramento. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining accurate electrical BIM models for commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional projects. This role requires collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other design disciplines to produce high-quality construction documentation and coordinated BIM models.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
  • Create electrical layouts, power plans, lighting plans, and low-voltage system models.
  • Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and perform clash detection using Navisworks.
  • Produce construction drawings and documentation from BIM models.
  • Ensure BIM models comply with project standards, client requirements, and company BIM protocols.
  • Update models to reflect design revisions and field changes.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Support engineers and project managers throughout the design and construction process.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler, Electrical Revit Modeler, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP).
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards and coordination workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, BIM, or a related field.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the California Electrical Code (CEC) and National Electrical Code (NEC) is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, or industrial projects is an advantage.
