We provide unbiased investment consulting services to nearly 200 institutional clients, including corporations, public retirement systems, Taft-Hartley funds, non-profit organizations, non-pension operating funds, high-net-worth individuals and families, and other special purpose funds. We are looking for intellectually curious and pragmatically innovative candidates with a "can do" attitude to fill our fulltime Data Entry Specialist position. Candidates must be prepared to work in an extraordinarily collegial team-oriented environment and consulting model. This is an entry-level position so on the job training will be provided.

Job Description

The Data Entry Specialist position provides data collection support to the Performance Measurement and Analytics (PMA) Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect and enter investment manager and index data on a monthly basis for certain asset classes
  • Collect and enter custodian bank data on a monthly basis for certain custodian banks and clients
  • Reconcile data with a third party, troubleshoot as needed, note reasons for any unresolved discrepancies, and approve
  • Maintain due dates, checklists, and procedures
  • Work in a deadline-driven environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, follow through and up on assigned tasks (team, client, and administrative) without needing to be micromanaged
  • Provide support to the other Data Entry Specialists and Receptionist as needed
  • Download data, information, fund fact sheets, etc. via the internet, Morningstar Direct, eVestment, etc. on a monthly, quarterly or ad-hoc basis
  • Help achieve RVK business plan goals
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong internal and external communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Basic grasp of math concepts and terms
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and manipulate data
  • Ability to problem-solve independently
  • Proven initiative to improve processes or create efficiencies
  • Strong work ethic; able and willing to work more than 40 hours per week when needed (deadlines and/or workload may require 50 to 60-hour weeks and include evenings and weekends during peak time)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, within a team environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively communicate progress and follow through on assigned tasks

Compensation and Benefits

  • Data Entry Specialist Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually.
  • RVK offers compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Positions are eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus if held by an active employee on the date bonuses are payable.
