Entry Level Project Support Analyst

SUMMARY

The Concourse Group is looking for entry level candidates to support projects serving public sector clients. This is a blanket job posting and will cover multiple positions. Not all required tasks will be required of every hire. This position is a hybrid position, and candidates must live local to the National Capital or Baltimore, Maryland Regions as meetings at our corporate office in Columbia, MD are required.


This position requires strong communication skills, knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office products, the ability to learn new skills quickly, and high standards for growth and work quality. While training on specific tasks will be provided, the ideal candidate will have exemplary attention to detail, the ability to follow complex instructions requiring a sequential order of operations and won't be afraid to ask questions. This position also requires a high level of multi-tasking, time management skills and decision-making skills.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  1. Skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  2. Skills with Adobe Standard and/or Pro.

  3. Skilled with attention to detail and employing methods of quality control in work product.

  4. Ability to effectively manage communications and coordinate tasks in a hybrid setting where participants are in geographically diverse regions.

  5. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a wide scope of tasking.

  6. Ability to solve problems using critical thinking.

  7. Ability to assemble, communicate and present information clearly both verbally and in writing.

  8. Ability to analyze social nuances in a project management setting involving multiple parties from multiple organizations.

  9. Ability to understand customer problems, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and work both independently and as part of a team.

  10. Ability to solve problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach.

  11. Ability to work without direct supervision and independently with structured guidelines.

POSSIBLE TASKS


  1. Performing assigned research in various project specific topic areas (policy, economics, etc.)
  2. Performing data entry and entry level data analysis.
  3. Providing action tracking to support a project manager, organization of deliverables and documents in both an MS Teams and SharePoint environment, and over all workflow process management support.
  4. Creation of project specific templates in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or MS Forms.
  5. Creating, moderating and managing attendees for a variety of virtual meeting platforms such as MS Teams or Webex.
  6. Supporting physical meetings by securing/ setting up meeting space, setting up and necessary audio-visual equipment, printing handouts, name badges, table tents, etc.

  7. Analyzing data from a designated number of sites, ensuring any variances are identified, investigated, and corrected.

  8. Preparing written project reports including meeting minutes, weekly status reports, data summaries and other reports as directed.
  9. Editing written documents such as reports, manuals, standard operating procedures, training guides, etc.
  10. Supporting project travel by booking and planning all travel within various federal, state or local travel systems.

  11. Attending project, company, and team meetings both in person and virtually.

  12. Providing support to multiple projects at once involving a high level of organization and time management.

  13. Exercise quality control measures on your own work and utilize support from more senior staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High school diploma AND five (5) years of consecutive experience in a professional government or office environment.
  2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College AND one (1) year of experience in a professional government or office environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE


  1. Bachelor's degree in the areas of real estate, data management, public policy, emergency management, sociology, criminology, political science, business administration or another related field.

  2. Experience with a federal agency or for a federal contractor where you supported federal projects.

OTHER:


  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen

  2. Must live local to the National Capital Region, including the Baltimore and Columbia regions
