Claims Examiner

TokioMarine HCC - Surety Group, a member of theTokioMarine Group of Companies, has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Claims Examiner position on-site at our office in Los Angeles, California.

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team of highly skilled claims examiners who are part of a successful division that specializes in surety bond business. We offer all the advantages of working for an insurance company, including stability and employee benefits. The position is in-office.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Associate Claims Examiner are to objectively investigate and analyze surety bond claims.

Performance Objectives and Timeline

  • During the first 30 days: Learn about our company and the basics of surety bonds - what we do, our systems and processes, and the members of our team. Understand surety bonds, claims concepts, and terminology.
  • During the first 3 months: Learn how too effectively evaluate straightforward surety bond claims.
  • During the first 6 months and beyond: With a customer service mindset, be responsible for your own caseload - investigate, analyze, and effectively communicate written determinations of claims.
  • During the first year and beyond: Strengthen your analytical, and oral and written communications skills to be able to handle more intricate and complex claims.

Experience & Education Qualifications

  • Up to two years of relevant professional experience
