Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:40 PM - 6:10 AM (Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!)

Direct Mail Solutions (DMS) is a leading full-service mail and fulfillment company located in
Richmond, Virginia. We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic /
Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our production team.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and learning how machinery operates,
this is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in industrial maintenance. You'll work
alongside experienced team members to keep our production equipment operating safely and
efficiently while gaining valuable hands-on experience with manufacturing machinery, electrical
systems, and automation equipment.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll help maintain and repair production equipment to ensure smooth operations
throughout our facility. You'll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive
maintenance, and work closely with machine operators to minimize downtime and maximize
productivity.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing routine maintenance and inspections on production equipment.
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
• Identifying equipment issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Assisting with machine setup, adjustments, and operational support.
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Helping maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reliability.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys problem-solving and
takes pride in keeping equipment running at its best. Whether your experience comes from
manufacturing, automotive repair, maintenance work, or a related field, we'd love to hear from
you.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of one year of mechanical experience.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated.
• Commitment to safety and following established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications (Experience in any of the following areas is a plus):
• Industrial manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Pneumatic, electrical, control, and conveyor systems.
• Reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Using voltage meters and electrical testing equipment.
• Knowledge of 24V systems, AC/DC circuits, transformers, relays, and single- or threephase motors.
• MIG or Stick welding and basic fabrication.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting.
• Technical school, vocational training, or other relevant post-secondary education.
