IT Developer & Systems Support Specialist

Dakota Kitchen

Sioux Falls, SD • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Love technology, solving problems, and figuring out how things work? We may have the perfect opportunity for you.

Dakota Kitchen & Bath is looking for an IT Developer & Systems Support Specialist to join our team in Sioux Falls.

This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants to do more than just one thing. You'll have the chance to write and maintain software, work with databases and reporting, troubleshoot technology, support employees, and learn how IT helps run a manufacturing business.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with a strong technology foundation, a knack for problem-solving, and—most importantly—a desire to keep learning and growing.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain internal applications using VB.NET
  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Create and maintain Crystal Reports
  • Help employees troubleshoot software, computer, printer, and connectivity issues
  • Set up and configure computers and user accounts
  • Assist with Active Directory, networking, and other IT systems
  • Work directly with employees to understand problems and develop better solutions
  • Learn additional technologies as our systems continue to evolve

You Could Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Have education or experience in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Have some programming experience and enjoy writing code
  • Understand—or are excited to learn—databases and SQL
  • Like troubleshooting and aren't afraid to dig into a problem
  • Can communicate comfortably with both technical and non-technical people
  • Are curious, self-motivated, and willing to ask questions
  • Want a position where you can continue developing your skills over the next several years

Experience with VB.NET, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio, C#, Active Directory, networking, or Windows administration is a plus—but we don't expect an entry-level candidate to know them all.

Why Dakota Kitchen & Bath?

This isn't a traditional help-desk job, and it isn't a position where you'll spend every day doing the same thing.

You'll work with technology throughout our organization and learn how software, systems, equipment, and people all work together. As your knowledge and abilities grow, we want the position to grow with you.

If you're looking for an opportunity to build a career—not just land your next job—we'd like to meet you.
