Job Description:


JSL is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to provide support for the Modular Guns Weapons System (MGWS) Surface Warfare (SUW) Mission Package (MP), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), and programs for Mission Module (MM) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) to include hardware/software engineering, installation/modernization, system integration, testing, data collection/analysis, review/update specifications/documents, Test and Evaluation, and writing reports.


The candidate will also perform the following tasks:


Perform engineering analysis, assessments, investigations, and evaluations for combat, weapon, network, and ancillary systems aboard Navy LCS platform and laboratories. 

Provide support for development, review, and update of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, analysis, and post-event reports. 

Develop, update, test, and validate hardware/software procedures, processes, and technical documents (drawings, technical manuals, MRCs, CSOSS, C&L, APL/AEL) used by ISEA, Mission Package Support Facility, (MPSF) primary production contactor and shipboard personnel to support assessments, installations, embark/debark events. 

Respond to Casualty Reports (CASREP), Fleet Tech Assists (FTA) and provide Distance Support (DS). 

Go onboard ships, and laboratories to operate and maintain or modernize systems and equipment. 

Provide test support for Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Combat Systems Ships Qualification and Test (CSSQT) to include SUW Mission Modules (MM). 

Provide support for Availability planning/execution, and other related ISEA functions for SUW MM. 

Provide support for the Working Intergraded Product Team (WIPT) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). 

Develop/Update Non-Permanent Changes (NPC), Deviations From Specification (DFS), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). 

Provide support for the design and production of combat and weapon system equipment 

Provide support for LCS MPSF such as planning, maintenance, testing, and embark/debark of mission modules. 

Provide support for Reliability Engineering (RE), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Failure Reporting Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS). 

Conduct Mission Module training, to ship personnel, contractors, and instructors. 

Assist with the development of training curriculum.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level U.S. Security Clearance 

Bachelor's degree in engineering


Preferred Qualifications:


1 year of Naval Engineering experience 

Active Secret-level U.S. Security Clearance


Security Clearance:


Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government- granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
