Job Description

We are seeking a Junior System Integration – Qualification & Verification Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for a recent engineering graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in the integration, verification, and qualification of complex communication systems.

Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to the design, analysis, testing, and validation of hardware and software-based solutions while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative Agile environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development and validation of system and product quality requirements.
  • Perform technical analysis and contribute to trade studies, technical reports, interface documents, and design documentation.
  • Participate in technical reviews and apply engineering principles to solve complex problems.
  • Support integration, verification, qualification, and design-proving activities for new and existing products.
  • Analyze technical issues, evaluate solutions, and document recommendations.
  • Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to complete integration and testing activities.
  • Develop and execute acceptance test procedures and test cases for hardware, software, firmware, and system-level functionality.
  • Review requirements, interface control documents, design documentation, and use cases to develop comprehensive test coverage.
  • Execute tests in laboratory environments and analyze, interpret, and document results.
  • Prepare test reports, defect reports, and technical summaries to communicate progress and findings.
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
  • Assist with requirements traceability and mapping requirements to verification activities.
  • Share technical knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications

 What You Need to Have to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and environments.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of wireless communications systems and networking principles.
  • Exposure to systems integration, verification, or test engineering through academic projects, co-op placements, or internships.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Experience with scripting or automated testing tools.

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Additional Information
