Entry-Level Design EngineerPosition Summary

Seeking a motivated Entry-Level Design Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of electromechanical connector products. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, proficiency in SolidWorks, and an interest in product design, manufacturing, and testing. Experience with circular connectors is beneficial but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of connector components and assemblies using CAD software.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
  • Support product development activities from concept through production release.
  • Participate in design verification testing, fit/function evaluations, and tolerance analysis.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and project teams to support product performance and manufacturability.
  • Assist with material selection, plating specifications, sealing solutions, and contact configurations.
  • Review customer requirements and help identify suitable product solutions.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and validation efforts.
  • Learn and apply industry standards, design specifications, and engineering best practices.
  • Assist with connector testing and evaluation activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and mechanical design fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, stamping, and assembly is preferred.
  • Exposure to connectors, cable assemblies, or electromechanical products through coursework, internships, or projects is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in connector design and testing.
    Compensation package: Salary $100k-$120k plus complete benefit package        including health, life, dental and vision. 401k offered also.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
