Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Machine Design and Development

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD)
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards


Manufacturing Support

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for fabrication, machining, and assembly
  • Provide technical support during machine build, assembly and testing
  • Troubleshoot design-related issues on the shop floor and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction and efficiency


Product Improvement and Innovation

  • Evaluate existing machinery and recommend design improvements
  • Incorporate feedback from field service technicians and customers into design updates
  • Participate in R&D efforts for new machine features, automation, and performance enhancements


Project Management

  • Manage design projects from concept through production release
  • Develop timelines, track progress, and meet project deadlines
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, controls, and purchasing
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks, with input from supervision, in accordance with prescribed schedules and resources


Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and revision control
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards
  • Develop technical manuals and support documentation as needed
