We are looking for an Entry-Level Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team supporting the design and development of electrical power distribution equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical engineering foundation who enjoys product design, troubleshooting, and working on projects from concept through production.

The selected candidate will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop reliable power distribution solutions while supporting testing, documentation, and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems and select components for power distribution equipment
  • Assist with thermal design, mechanical packaging concepts, and interconnection hardware selection
  • Apply knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, magnetics, and thermal management
  • Develop engineering specifications for power protection systems
  • Design power and control circuits for switchboards and related equipment
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Support the integration and qualification of third-party electrical components
  • Participate in hardware design reviews to improve product reliability and performance
  • Prepare technical documentation, manufacturing instructions, test procedures, and engineering reports
  • Provide engineering support for both new and existing product lines
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and subsystems during development and production
  • Assist with product safety certification efforts, including compliance with UL, CSA, IEC, and other applicable standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Experience using AutoCAD or comparable CAD design software
  • Knowledge of power distribution equipment such as PDUs, STSs, RPPs, switchboards, or similar electrical systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using electrical engineering test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators
  • Understanding of three-phase electrical systems and power distribution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Laboratory testing and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and engineering reports
What We're Looking For

This direct-hire opportunity offers the chance to work on innovative power distribution products while gaining hands-on experience with product design, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers in a team-focused environment that supports professional growth and technical development.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
