Position Overview
The
Engine Mechanic I role is an entry-level position supporting the
disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of aero-derivative gas turbine engines. This role offers hands-on training, working under experienced mechanics to develop technical expertise in aerospace engine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) to learn turbine engine maintenance procedures.
- Assist in disassembling, repairing, and assembling aero-derivative engines.
- Review technical documents, visual aids, and tooling instructions before and during tasks.
- Perform basic inspections and support manufacturing operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) protocols.
- Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and company policy compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical education in a related field (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with gas turbine engines (preferred).
- Familiarity with manufacturing principles and data systems.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen or Green Card holder).
