SCOPE/CONTACTS:

This position works with other team members as well as bank and FTS personnel. Contacts are regularly with persons outside of their own department or work group to gather requirements, validate data, and discuss reporting needs, data quality issues, and business insights. Tact, discretion, and diplomacy are necessary considerations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The expectation of this position is to analyze data with assistance, develop and maintain reports and dashboards, and follow established processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate use prior to release into production environments, while keeping management informed of task and project progress. This position will also participate in discussions related to data support.

This role is an entrylevel position and is expected to perform assigned duties under established standards, processes, and supervisory guidance, with appropriate training and support provided as needed. The level of independence will increase as knowledge, skills, and experience are developed.

  • Work with Project Managers, Development Managers, Business Analysts, Application Analysts, Stakeholders, and other team members to understand reporting requirements and data needs.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using tools such as Cognos and Power BI.
  • Retrieve, validate, and analyze data from multiple data sources, including but not limited to Snowflake, Google BigQuery, SQL Server, MS Fabric and other structured data sources as required.
  • Assist in documenting data sources, data definitions, calculations, and report logic to support transparency, auditability, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Document currentstate and futurestate reporting processes.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness prior to publishing reports or dashboards.
  • Follow departmental and team standards related to data access, data governance, change management, and deployment of reports to production environments.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of data discrepancies, report issues, and performance concerns.
  • Manage assigned tasks to deadlines and communicate progress, risks, and issues appropriately to team members and management.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers.
  • Actively support the values of the organization and follow established company policies, procedures, and security requirements, including data confidentiality standards.

This job requires strong analytical and criticalthinking abilities, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computerrelated, datarelated, or analytical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to learn and work with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI and Cognos.
  • Understanding of relational databases and data concepts, including tables, views, joins, and basic data modeling.
  • Ability to retrieve and analyze data using SQL from sources such as SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery, MS Fabric, and similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices.
  • Ability to document data sources, report logic, and requirements clearly.
  • Must display troubleshooting skills that can start with a data or reporting issue and systematically isolate and rule out potential causes with assistance.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
  • Must be a selfstarter with the ability to work well on a team.
  • Should possess good communication skills, be goaloriented, reliable, demonstrate initiative, flexibility, maintain confidentiality, and act in a courteous and professional manner.
