Job Description

Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including periodontal charting and screenings.
Develop individualized patient treatment and care plans in collaboration with the dentist.
Administer local anesthesia under the direct supervision of the dentist (where licensed and applicable).
Provide fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants.
Take, develop, and operate dental x-ray and other medical imaging equipment.
Offer effective oral hygiene education and counseling to patients on preventive health practices.
Ensure the highest standards of disinfection and dental sterilization procedures for all instruments and equipment.
Accurately manage and maintain patient charting and medical records in compliance with regulations.
Provide chairside assisting support during various dental procedures as needed.

Salary Range

Full-time $48 - $52 per hour

Requirements

Active and unrestricted Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license (or equivalent) for the State of practice.

Skill in maintaining aseptic techniques and performing dental sterilization procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient data privacy.
Ability to perform direct patient care with excellent interaction skills.

Preferences

Experience in a clinical setting (Entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply).
Experience with periodontal maintenance protocols.
