What are the typical daily responsibilities of an Entry Level Data & Analytics professional?

As an Entry Level Data & Analytics team member, your daily tasks often involve gathering, cleaning, and preparing datasets, conducting basic analyses, and creating data visualizations to help explain findings. You'll frequently collaborate with senior analysts or managers, supporting ongoing projects by generating reports or troubleshooting data issues. This role also requires you to communicate your insights to both technical and non-technical colleagues, so clear documentation and presentation skills are valuable. Over time, you'll gain exposure to more complex analytical work and opportunities to specialize as you grow in your career.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Entry Level Data & Analytics position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Data & Analytics professional, you need a basic understanding of statistics, data analysis, and data visualization, typically supported by a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field. Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or Tableau, and any relevant certifications (like Google Data Analytics or Microsoft Excel certification) are often expected. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you translate data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders. These competencies are crucial for ensuring accurate data interpretation and meaningful contributions to business decision-making.

Is 40 too late for data science?

Entry level data & analytics roles are accessible at age 40 and beyond, as skills in programming, statistics, and data visualization are more important than age. Many professionals successfully transition into data science later in their careers by gaining relevant certifications and practical experience. Age is generally not a barrier if you develop the necessary technical skills and stay current with industry tools.

How can I get into data analytics with no experience?

Entry level data and analytics roles often require foundational skills in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools like Tableau. Gaining relevant knowledge through online courses, certifications, or personal projects can help demonstrate your abilities to employers without prior work experience.

Is AI replacing data analysts?

AI tools are automating certain data processing and analysis tasks, but entry-level data analysts are still essential for interpreting results, making strategic decisions, and providing context. AI enhances productivity but does not fully replace the need for human judgment, communication skills, and domain knowledge in data and analytics roles.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join an innovative engineering team focused on the design and development of electrical power distribution equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on product design, system integration, testing, and continuous improvement while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys both design work and hands-on testing, and thrives in a collaborative engineering environment. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative power distribution solutions while expanding your technical expertise and advancing your career.
If you're ready to work on challenging electrical engineering projects and make an impact from day one, we encourage you to apply.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
