Summary:
The Data Analyst will play a vital role in transforming complex data into actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for evaluating dashboards and metrics, conducting training sessions to ensure effective utilization of data tools, and advocating for a data-driven culture. The Data Analyst will support and maintain data analysis systems, such as Power BI, and follow a structured business intelligence process to address specific business questions.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, technical expertise in data visualization platforms, and excellent communication abilities to effectively share insights with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate Dashboards and Metrics: Assess the accuracy, clarity, and relevance of dashboards and key performance indicators to ensure alignment with business objectives and decision-making needs.
  • Advocate for Dashboards: Promote the adoption and consistent use of dashboards across the organization, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Partner with team members, managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and deliver tailored data-driven solutions.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop, document, and deliver training plans and materials to ensure effective dashboard usage, administration, and data interpretation.
  • Continuous Development: Proactively expand knowledge of data warehouses, BI tools, enterprise applications, query languages, and organizational data structures to improve analytical outcomes.
  • System Support and Maintenance: Support and maintain data analysis platforms, including Power BI, ensuring system reliability, performance, and user accessibility.
  • Business Intelligence Analysis: Follow a structured BI process to address specific business questions, delivering statistical models, analytic reports, or clear data summaries.
  • Research and Insights Development: Conduct research on emerging data trends, best practices, and advanced analytics techniques to inform improvements in reporting and dashboard design.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Safeguard the integrity and security of enterprise data, adhering to best practices for privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting end-users, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a performance-driven environment.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing concepts.
  • Previous experience in a dealership, retail, or operational analytics environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
  • Strong skills in data querying techniques and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration settings and BI process documentation.
