About The Role

We are seeking an Entry Level NOC Technician to join our Network Operations Center team in Herndon, VA. This position is responsible for monitoring network systems, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting customers and end users, and escalating issues when additional technical expertise is needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in network operations, IT, or network engineering. What You'll Do

  • Monitor network management systems and helpdesk channels to identify and respond to technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems involving computer hardware, software, networks, system access, applications, and telecommunications.
  • Provide professional and timely technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Respond to support requests through phone, email, web chat, and ticketing systems.
  • Diagnose technical problems, explain solutions clearly, and provide step by step guidance to users.
  • Determine the severity and complexity of reported issues and escalate them to the appropriate technical team when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer requests, troubleshooting steps, services provided, and issue status.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior personnel.
  • Support continuous 24/7 network operations, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience with networking, operating systems, computer hardware, software, or networking applications preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong interest in network engineering, information technology, or a related technical field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, think critically, and learn new technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise ticketing or monitoring tools such as ServiceNow or SolarWinds is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and contract requirements.
