IT Systems Analyst - Recent Graduate Program
Position Overview
The IT Systems Analyst will support business and technology teams by helping analyze system needs, document requirements, support application and data-related initiatives, troubleshoot issues, and assist with technology projects across the organization. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who has completed an IT, analytics, business systems, or technology-focused graduate program and is ready to grow into a full-time systems analyst role.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in technology, business analysis, data, systems thinking, documentation, and cross-functional communication. This role will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to help improve systems, support users, document processes, and contribute to technology modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support IT systems, applications, business processes, and technology initiatives across assigned business areas.
  • Assist with gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
  • Partner with business users and IT teams to understand system needs, process gaps, reporting needs, and operational challenges.
  • Help analyze current-state workflows and recommend improvements to improve efficiency, usability, data quality, and system performance.
  • Support testing activities, including test case development, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and issue validation.
  • Assist with troubleshooting system issues, documenting root causes, and coordinating resolution with technical teams.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, requirements documents, user guides, data mapping, system notes, and support materials.
  • Support reporting, dashboards, data analysis, and business insights as needed.
  • Assist with system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, deployments, and production support activities.
  • Participate in project meetings, document decisions, track action items, and provide status updates to project teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business operations, IT, data, infrastructure, application development, security, and vendor partners.
  • Learn organizational systems, standards, tools, and processes while continuing to build technical and business analysis capability.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, computer science, business analytics, data analytics, engineering, technology management, or a related field.
  • Completion of an internship, graduate program, rotational program, academic project, or early-career work experience in IT, systems analysis, business analysis, data analytics, application support, or technology project support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business processes and system functionality.
  • Ability to gather requirements, ask good questions, document findings, and translate business needs into clear technical or functional notes.
  • Exposure to systems analysis, business process analysis, application support, data analysis, testing, or project coordination.
  • Basic understanding of databases, SQL, reporting tools, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, or enterprise applications.
  • Ability to support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and user support activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, organization, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing business and technology priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or academic exposure to automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, customer experience, connected vehicle, mobility, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar.
  • Experience supporting Voice of the Customer, customer data, product quality, operations, business reporting, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SDLC, UAT, defect management, change management, or IT service management concepts.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, data pipelines, analytics platforms, enterprise applications, or integration projects.
  • Experience working in a structured corporate, consulting, internship, or rotational program environment.
