We are looking for a motivated Desktop Support Specialist ready to take us to the next level! If you have 2+ years of experience in a similar support role and a solid understanding of Windows operating systems and networking, apply now.

Job Description

We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide critical installation, configuration, and administration of Windows operating systems and network switches, ensuring uptime and integrity of systems in compliance with client policy. This position will be Full-Time and On-Site in Beaverton, OR.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, configure, and administer Windows operating systems

  • Install and assist in configuring network switches

  • Maintain system configuration and integrity as per client policy

  • Ensure system uptime within the fab and respond promptly to fab-support events

  • Install and support client applications and provide customer support

  • Keep systems up to date with patches and firmware/bios updates

  • Work on multiple projects with minimal supervision or guidance

  • Provide 1st/2nd tier support for helpdesk-related issues

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Create and maintain documentation for established support procedures and processes

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar support role, preferably in a high-availability, 24 x 7 production environment

  • Excellent knowledge of building laptops/desktop PCs, creating/configuring standard install images, installing operating systems, and patching

  • Experience in installing/supporting network switches

  • Knowledge of supported systems including printers, network interfaces, Windows 7/10 OS, phones (Android/Windows), tablets, and other mobile computers

  • General understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, performance monitoring)

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and PC imaging/backup software

Preferred:

  • Experience with system monitoring tools like SolarWinds or Nagios

  • Semiconductor industry experience

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
