Job description

The Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI) is currently seeking a Systems Support Specialist who supports the mission of the organization and is responsible for providing technical support and administering the organization's end-user computing environment while assisting with the maintenance, security, and operational reliability of OMSI's information technology systems and infrastructure. This position serves as the primary technical resource for end-user support and plays an integral role in maintaining core infrastructure, cloud services, identity management, endpoint security, and organizational technology initiatives.

The Systems Support Specialist collaborates with the IT Manager and the organization's Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maintain secure, reliable technology systems that support organizational goals while delivering exceptional technical support to staff and volunteers.     • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 technologies.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint administration.
    • Knowledge of Azure identity and cloud administration.
    • Knowledge of Active Directory administration and Group Policy management.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security best practices.
