Join our team at Behavioral Services of Louisiana, LLC, a leading organization in the Family Support sector. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Specialist Supervisor. This role is integral to our operations, providing direct oversight to our Support Specialists and ensuring the effective implementation of our treatment plans. Our organization prides itself on its commitment to quality and community outreach, and we are looking for a candidate who shares these values.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct oversight to Support Specialists
  • Complete weekly quality assurance measures
  • Ensure effective documentation of all meetings with families
  • Maintain open communication with Wraparound Agencies
  • Ensure correct implementation of treatment goals and interventions
  • Conduct marketing and community outreach initiatives
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings and supervisions with Support Specialists
  • Provide ongoing education and training to Support Specialists
  • Use computer interface for documentation and billing purposes
  • Return phone calls promptly and follow all safety rules
  • Provide individual Support Specialist services in the community
  • Participate in Child Family Team meetings
  • Assist in teaching problem-solving skills, coping mechanisms, and strategies for youth symptom and behavior management
  • Assist parents in identifying and enhancing support networks and coping strategies
  • Implement the youth's Plan of Care on an ongoing basis
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with Behavioral Health Services staff and other agencies
  • Communicate parent’s status on a regular basis
  • Produce effective documentation of every contact with parent or other members that provide significant support to youth
  • Ensure timely submission of notes according to policy
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a human services field or a bachelor’s degree in any field with two years of full-time experience working with family, children/youth or community service capacity
  • Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of mental health services
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months in self-directed recovery within the last year
  • Successful completion of parent support training and Behavioral Services of Louisiana Required Trainings
  • Complete Parent Support Supervisor Training
