Location: Omaha, NE
Reports To: Sales Support
Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 hrly
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused Sales Support Specialist to join our Sales Support team. This role provides administrative, operational, and customer‑facing support to the Sales organization, helping ensure accurate order processing, effective coordination, and timely communication. The Sales Support Specialist serves as a key liaison between customers, sales staff, and internal departments to support strong customer relationships and sales effectiveness.
*Important: This is not a sales or commission-based position. The Sales Support Specialist focuses on administrative tasks, order processing, and coordination to support the sales team rather than selling products or meeting sales quotas.
Purpose amp; Expectations:
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting daily sales operations by assisting with customer inquiries, sales orders, documentation, and scheduling coordination. This role requires strong organization, responsiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales amp; Customer Support
• Assist customers and sales staff with product information, quotes, sales order entry, and general inquiries.
• Serve as a professional point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in‑person interactions as applicable.
• Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on issues, delays, or missing information.
Order Processing amp; Coordination
• Process sales orders, returns, and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and organized customer, order, and job records in required systems.
• Coordinate with Install amp; Service, Warehouse amp; Yard, Purchasing, and Delivery teams to support order fulfillment and scheduling.
Quality, Accuracy amp; Communication
• Ensure sales orders and documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant prior to processing.
• Identify, correct, or escalate discrepancies that may impact customers or operations.
• Keep management informed of issues affecting customer satisfaction, order accuracy, or scheduling.
• Provide additional inside sales or counter support during high‑volume or time‑sensitive periods.
General Duties amp; Expectations
• Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers, sales staff, and internal teams.
• Support the Sales Support department by attending meetings, completing required training, and providing backup coverage as needed.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check.
• Experience in the construction, building materials, or related industry preferred
• Basic computer proficiency, including email, data entry, and internal systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time, follow instructions, and work effectively as part of a team.
• 0–1 years of experience in a customer‑facing, sales support, or construction‑related environment preferred.
