Job Description: (Entry Level) Sales Consultant - Field Durable Medical Equipment
Department: Sales
Job Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: Base + Commission
Reports To: VP Respiratory Sales
Company: Elevation DME, Protech Medical, Baxter Services
Title: Sales Consultant
No prior direct medical field sales experience required. Degree Required.
Position Summary
The Sales Consultant is an entry-level, field-based role responsible for promoting and selling Elevation DME's portfolio of products and services, including CPAP therapy equipment, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, power mobility devices (such as specialized power wheelchairs), and home sleep testing services.
No prior sales experience is required; however, candidates should demonstrate a strong sales mentality, competitive drive, and the ability to build relationships. Preference is given to candidates with medical or clinical experience gained in a clinic, provider office, therapy center, or healthcare setting.
Candidates without direct medical experience, including those with prior competitive retail sales experience, student-athlete backgrounds, or experience in other competitive, goal-driven environments are encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clinics, physician offices, healthcare facilities, and referral sources within the assigned territory.
  • Provide education and product demonstrations related to CPAP equipment, AAC devices, power mobility solutions, and home sleep testing services.
  • Communicate product benefits, indications, and appropriate patient use in a clear, confident, and consultative manner.
  • Promote Elevation DME's products and services to support improved patient outcomes and provider efficiency.
  • Assist clinicians and administrative staff with documentation, ordering procedures, and prescription requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, account interactions, and territory updates.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless patient onboarding and equipment delivery.
  • Represent Elevation DME with professionalism and adherence to company policies and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (Healthcare, Life Sciences, Rehabilitation, Business, or related fields preferred).
  • No sales experience necessary; full sales training provided.
  • Preference for candidates with medical or clinical experience in a healthcare facility, clinic, or office setting.
  • Candidates without medical experience may qualify through:
    • Prior retail sales experience
    • Experience in competitive environments
    • Student-athlete backgrounds
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a field territory, and meet performance expectations.
