• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients, using a trauma-informed approach.
• Provide individual and group counseling, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as grief, loss, and mental health challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans that outline clients' goals and objectives, tracking their progress over time.
• Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support while being active in promoting social justice.
• Collaborate with local government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations to enhance services and create a network of support for clients.
• Participate in program development and evaluation, contributing to grant reporting and strategic planning initiatives.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with chronic illness, end-of-life issues, and familial challenges commonly encountered in a hospice care setting. You'll be tasked with delivering empathetic support and finding ways to empower clients in navigating their circumstances, ensuring they receive dignified and respectful care in their times of need.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong understanding of social justice principles, advocacy strategies, and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster trusting relationships with clients and their families.
• Well-developed organizational skills, with an aptitude for managing multiple cases effectively.

• Previous experience in a nonprofit organization or healthcare setting, particularly in hospice care or palliative services.
• Demonstrable experience in providing both individual and group counseling.
• Knowledge of community resources and social services within the Chattanooga area.
