Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Implementing physical therapy services as planned, delegated, and supervised by licensed physical therapists. This includes executing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and educating patients on their treatment plans.
• Documenting patient progress in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all records adhere to state and federal regulations.
• Utilizing effective interpersonal communication skills to educate patients and their families about treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recognizing and applying infection control measures to protect patients and yourself during therapy sessions.
• Participating in in-service training and mandatory continuing education programs to enhance your skills and maintain professional competence.
• Collaborating as an integral part of the clinical team to deliver coordinated care and support for each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Utilizing technology and software for patient management, scheduling, and electronic documentation to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

To join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with preference given to graduates from accredited physical therapy assistant programs.
• Licensure: A valid license to practice physical therapy in Massachusetts.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR) software and telehealth communication tools is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Experience in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in rehabilitation principles will set you apart.
