Responsibilities include.


ยท Supporting projects relating to planning, design, and construction of engineering infrastructure for public agencies

ยท Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope

ยท Prepare basic data, technical work plans, reports, and scientific documents

ยท Conduct field visits to project sites to investigate, record, and photograph local conditions

ยท Interprets and records data, conducts analysis, and compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance

ยท Apply knowledge of natural sciences (chemistry, physics, biology, hydrology, and mathematics) to engineering problems

ยท Leveraging CAD and GIS software and other specialized software packages to develop planning and design documents

ยท Preparing basic studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports, and supporting documentation and calculations

ยท Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate document or drawing preparation

ยท Coordination with task and project managers; working with on-site subcontractors and field staff; and supporting sampling, data collection, and field documentation

ยท Assist with document preparation for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits

ยท Review analytical data for general indicators of quality based on well-defined guidelines

ยท Provide technical expertise support

Requirements:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in civil or mechanical engineering

ยท 1-3 years experience in civil engineering or related field

ยท Knowledge of engineering and construction principles.

ยท Previous exposure to GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil3D is preferred

ยท Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

ยท Well-organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work

ยท Candidate will have good communication skills, both written, oral, and listening, and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work and interface well in a collaborative project team environment

ยท Review, evaluate, and verify accuracy, and viability of designs, data, reports, and other documents before submitting them to the next review level.

ยท Ability to adhere to the companyโ€™s standards and procedures as well as project budgets and schedules.
