Description
Location: Lenexa, KS. This is an onsite position with hybrid flexibility.
GuideTech, a subsidiary of Palladyne AI (NASDAQ: PYDN), builds high-performance avionics and autonomy software for aerospace, space, and defense systems. We support a wide array of vehicles, from small multi-rotors, heavy lift UAVs, unmanned fighter jets, launch vehicles, spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, missiles and counter-UAS interceptors.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Entry-Level Full Stack Developer to join our team. This role will focus on building and maintaining a suite of internal tools that support key business operations, including product and inventory management, KPI tracking, and financial integrations.
You will work directly on and have ownership of internal tools that directly support business operations with a lot of growth opportunity on a collaborative team. You will play a critical role in designing and developing user-friendly, scalable applications while leveraging modern development practices, including AI-assisted coding tools, to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal web-based tools and applications
  • Build full stack solutions, including frontend interfaces and backend services
  • Develop and manage databases to support application functionality
  • Deploy and maintain applications on servers or cloud infrastructure
  • Integrate third-party systems such as QuickBooks and other APIs
  • Create intuitive, polished, and user-friendly interfaces
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Foundational knowledge of full stack development (frontend and backend)
  • Familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
  • Basic experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar)
  • Internship or project experience building real-world applications
  • Understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
  • Exposure to APIs and system integrations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
