Job description

Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Global Services is seeking an Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to support Government Training Systems for the P-8, F-15, T-7, Apache, and/or other programs, based in Hazelwood, MO.

These training systems are high-end flight simulators. In this role, you will work as part of a team supporting the manufacturing of aircrew and maintenance training devices for both U.S. and international customers across multiple platforms, including the P-8, F-15, and AH-64.

This position will focus on supporting building integration across a variety of programs within Boeing Commercial and Global organizations. Our team coordinates and implements engineering changes to Boeing factories and suppliers around the world.

In addition, we support emergent issues from the factory floor, process standardization efforts, periodic audits, and quality checks.

We are looking for a self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, transition between different work types and responsibilities, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a multifunctional team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week

  • Support the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies

  • Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines

  • Support the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build

  • Participate in the implementation of manufacturing plans.

  • Investigate technical problems

  • Participate in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies

  • Interface with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience

  • Develop and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials and work instructions per program design

  • Work closely with Manufacturing personnel through all phases of the build and delivery to help investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues and to ensure the build meets the program schedule requirements

  • Some domestic or international travel may be required to help facilitate the delivery and installation of training devices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time, both internationally and domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity and interest in manufacturing and manufacturing process

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills

  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • Experience working with multi-functional teams/organizations

  • Experience with data analysis and /or process improvements
