Job description

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CAD Designer to join our growing team in Quakertown, PA! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in engineering and construction drafting while gaining hands-on experience on real-world geotechnical projects.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and senior staff to create engineering and construction drawings using AutoCAD software for projects including retaining walls, excavation support systems, and other geotechnical designs. You'll build valuable technical skills in a collaborative, team-focused environment where learning and professional growth are encouraged.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed engineering and construction drawings using AutoCAD LT
  • Assist engineers with retaining wall, excavation support, and geotechnical design plans
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company drafting standards
  • Revise plans based on engineer markups and project updates
  • Organize and maintain CAD resources and standard drawing details
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to help meet project deadlines and deliverables

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD LT or AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and drafting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
