Job description

Position Overview

A growing engineering firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural CAD Designer to join its expanding engineering team in Carnegie, PA. This opportunity is ideal for an entry-level professional or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in architectural drafting, pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems, and concrete foundation design.

The ideal candidate will possess strong AutoCAD skills, a solid technical foundation, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers and project managers on commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings including:

    • Floor plans

    • Elevations

    • Sections

    • Construction details

  • Develop foundation plans and reinforced concrete detailing

  • Draft slab-on-grade systems, anchor bolt layouts, and related building details

  • Coordinate with structural engineers and project managers throughout project execution

  • Maintain organized CAD files and ensure compliance with company drafting standards and local building codes

  • Support ongoing BIM/Revit workflow initiatives

  • Participate in occasional site visits and field coordination activities

Required Qualifications
  • 0-3 years of experience in architectural drafting, CAD design, or structural engineering environments

  • Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD
