Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security System Technician I to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to begin a career in the security industry and develop expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various security systems. Under direct supervision, the Security System Technician I will assist senior technicians with a wide range of tasks, gaining hands-on experience and foundational knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians with the installation of security system components, including but not limited to cameras, access control devices, alarm panels, wiring, and conduit.

  • Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate system placement and connectivity.
  • Perform basic wiring, termination, and testing of cables.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing simple system malfunctions.

  • Learn to configure and program basic security system settings under guidance.

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment and checking connections.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and system configurations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
