IT Support Coordinator

Entry Level | On-Site – Akron, OH | $17–$20/hr. (Based on Experience) I Full-Time

Position Summary

Premier Home Pros is a growing home services company based in Akron, Ohio, committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and maintaining a best-in-class work environment for our team. We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Support Specialist to join our on-site team.

In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for technical support across our office, ensuring that employees have the tools and technology they need to perform their best. This is a hands-on, in-person position — you will be present in our Akron office every day, supporting staff directly. If you enjoy solving problems, working with technology, and being the go-to person when things go wrong, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Help Desk & End-User Support

  • Serve as the first line of support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and other peripherals.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations and user accounts.
  • Assist employees with password resets, software installations, and application errors.
  • Log and track support tickets, escalating issues as needed.

Equipment & Infrastructure

  • Install, mount, and configure TVs, digital signage, and displays throughout the office as needed.
  • Assist with the installation and relocation of office furniture and equipment when IT components are involved.
  • Mount and manage networking equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Run and organize cables to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Perform basic physical setup and reconfiguration of workspaces.

Network & Systems

  • Support basic LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
  • Assist with user account management in platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
  • Help maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Support basic security practices, including software updates and antivirus management.

General IT Operations

  • Coordinate with vendors or IT contractors for repairs or specialized support.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees from an IT setup perspective.
  • Perform routine maintenance and checks on office equipment.
  • Support any additional technology-related tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certification in IT, networking, or a related field is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/365
  • Ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software issues.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Preferred

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification (or currently pursuing)
  • Experience with desk help or IT support in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
  • Experience using a ticketing system.

Physical Requirements & Fit for Duty

This is a physically active role that goes beyond traditional desk-based IT support. Candidates must be able to meet the following physical demands:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to mount TVs, digital signage, shelving, and other equipment — including working at height using ladders or lift equipment as needed.
  • Ability to assist with the movement or installation of office furniture when IT setup is required.
  • Comfortable working in various positions including standing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching overhead for extended periods.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks safely and in accordance with company safety guidelines.

Compensation & Details

  • Pay Rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
