Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift IT Support Technician to join our team in Fort Recovery.
The primary goal of this position is to deliver intermediate technical support, including troubleshooting more complex issues, managing user accounts, and assisting with network connectivity problems. Support IT projects and ensure adherence to helpdesk procedures and policies.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday - 1st shift
STARTING RATE: From $19.50/hr
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
  • Deploy, configure, and support end-user technology including PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, A/V equipment, digital signage, and related hardware.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and network issues using the company helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Administer user accounts, groups, and devices within Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Intune, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Manage PC imaging, software packaging, and application deployments using enterprise deployment tools.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware, operating systems, and software as needed.
  • Support wired and remote network connectivity, including basic switch configuration, VPN support, and network cabling testing/termination.
  • Assist with SaaS application support, single sign-on (SSO), and access management.
  • Maintain IT documentation, follow established SOPs, and assist with security tools, processes, and initiatives.
  • Train team members on company technology, basic cybersecurity awareness, and new systems; participate in ongoing training to stay current with technology.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in information technology or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in the IT field.
  • At least two entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software applications.
  • Tech savvy and willing to learn a variety of technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot intermediate technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
