Job description

Sumitomo Electric U.S.A. Holdings, Inc. (SEUHO), a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a full-time IT Technician in our Mt. Prospect, IL, location. This person will provide support on IT-related tasks and is part of the SEUHO-IS helpdesk. This person will report to the IT Supervisor.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in resolving hardware/software issues for end users
  • Work on IT projects as directed by management
  • Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining desktop systems
  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage
  • Install hardware (computers, monitors, servers, UPS, routers, switches, etc.)
  • Manage all equipment and perform periodic inventories as required
  • Troubleshoot mobile devices, configure new devices
  • Install and configure computer systems, phones, and applications within the company
Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from users and business partners
  • Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently establish priorities and coordinate and complete competing projects within set timeframes
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team
The base salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 hourly.​  
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.​
