Job Summary

This is a part-time faculty appointment within the Computer & Information Technologies / Cybersecurity Program. The position requires flexibility of scheduling which will include both on-campus face-to-face and online teaching.

Job Duties:

1. Teach face-to-face or online Computer Science or Cybersecurity or Programming or Databases courses.
2. Set up assigned courses on learning management system used by the college following college standards.
3. Prepare for teaching assigned courses by creating syllabi, selecting textbook or teaching material, and posting the material on learning management systems.
4. Grade learner's submissions in a timely manner and provide feedback to learners.
5. Submit course-related reports as requested by the college.
6. Maintain course standards as set by the Computer & Information Technologies / Cybersecurity Program.
7. Maintain communication with Coordinator of the Computer & Information Technologies/Cybersecurity Program.
8. Willingness to teach at campuses outside Lexington, KY such as Winchester, Georgetown, Danville, and Lawrenceburg, KY.

Minimum Qualifications:

KCTCS Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Computer Science or related discipline 18 Graduate Credit Hours
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
MS in Computer Science with Cybersecurity graduate courses or Cybersecurity certification.
Two years college teaching experience.
Two years computer programming in modern language such as Python, C++, Java, Rust, Go, C#
