Front Desk Attendant

HealthFitness is looking for a part-time, 20 hpw, Front Desk Attendant to join the team at our corporate client site located in West Greenwich, RI. This role is ideal for a dependable professional with strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (set schedule, non-rotating).

This role is ideal for candidates who can reliably work 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and provide occasional additional support within facility hours (5am-4pm).

Greet, check-in and assist customers. Provides program information, services, membership and ensures the highest possible level of customer service and participant satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Greeting, checking-in and assisting customers, provide program information services and membership information. Efficiently responds to client and participant requests, comments or concerns and brings issues to timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Assist with all member service desk administration and processes, answer phones, and process membership enrollments. Collects membership fees and performs related recordkeeping.
  • Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants and enroll new participants.
  • Laundry and locker rooms services.
  • Maintains and updates participant and facility policies as appropriate. Educate participants on policies and procedures.
  • Participate in internal programs and special events.
  • Opening and/or closing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service experience a plus.
  • Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

The compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $18.00/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
