Associate Hardware Test Engineer
Location: Bradenton, FL
Base Salary Rate: $73,019.00 to $85,905.00

About This Role
As part of the Bradenton Hardware Test and Certification Lab, the Associate Hardware Test Engineer supports product development through the execution of hardware validation, qualification, reliability, and certification testing activities. This role works closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams to perform testing, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and maintain laboratory equipment and test infrastructure.
This position is intended for individuals with a technical degree and practical experience in electronics, laboratory testing, manufacturing, or related technical environments who are looking to grow their engineering career.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute hardware validation, qualification, and certification testing for new and existing products.
  • Assist in developing test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Build, modify, and maintain test setups, fixtures, and laboratory equipment.
  • Collect, document, and analyze test data.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product, system, and test setup issues.
  • Support environmental, EMC, electrical, reliability, and compliance testing activities.
  • Operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and environmental test equipment.
  • Document test results, failures, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare product samples and laboratory resources required for testing activities.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and calibration records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory processes and test methods.
  • Follow all applicable safety, quality, and laboratory procedures.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree
  • 1+ years' experience in product testing, electronics troubleshooting, laboratory operations, manufacturing, or related technical fields.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in product testing, electronics troubleshooting, laboratory operations, manufacturing, or related technical fields.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with EMC, environmental, safety, or regulatory compliance testing.
  • Familiarity with UL, ULC, FM, CE, or other certification standards.
  • Experience with electronic assemblies, embedded systems, or life safety products.
  • Familiarity with test automation, data acquisition, or scripting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
