GFT is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Entry Level CAD Technician to join our Water group in Pittsburgh, State College, Mechanicsburg, or Audubon, PA. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days of onsite office attendance on a weekly basis.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The Entry Level CAD Technician is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans to support a variety of engineering projects. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality work that meets project specifications and industry standards.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Collect and analyze field data to support the design and development of project plans.
  • Utilize advanced CADD software to produce construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other design team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Interpret and apply design manuals, guidelines, and standards, with support and review from senior staff as needed.

What you will bring to our firm: 

  • Associate's degree in CADD Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in civil, infrastructure or water projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in civil, infrastructure or water design through prior internships, work experiences, or applied academic coursework.
  • Proficiency in CADD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

 

What we prefer you bring:

  • Prior working experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.

 

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
