JOB DESCRIPTION
 

  • The Engineer Design contractor position assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects.
  • The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions.
  • This position is an exciting opportunity for persons who enjoy the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities.


As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:

· Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments

· Performing assignments involving the design of components or functionality of 
   pipeline products

· Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components
   involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.

· Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve
  system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.

· Provide oversight and support for construction activities

What candidate will need to qualify for this position:

· BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)

· 1-3 years of progressive Engineering experience

Or

Equivalent academic education and experience

Certifications/Licenses: Preferred: Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)


Skills: Required:

· Project Management

· Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization

· Computer Assisted Design/Geographic Information System - basic proficiency

· MS Office - advanced proficiency

· CAD/GIS - intermediate proficiency
