Job description

Chip Simulation Engineer

Experience: Senior Level

Salary: $180,000 - $250,000 per year

We're looking for a Chip Simulation Engineer to build software environments that model and simulate advanced compute architectures before or without direct access to physical hardware. You'll work at the intersection of computer architecture, systems software, and AI infrastructure, developing simulation and emulation capabilities that allow engineering teams to understand, test, and build against emerging hardware platforms.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong background in computer architecture, systems engineering, or hardware simulation
  • Strong programming experience in C, C++, Rust, or similar low-level languages
  • Experience developing or working extensively with simulators, emulators, or virtual hardware environments
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as gem5, QEMU, Spike, Verilator, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of instruction set architectures, processors, accelerators, and memory systems
  • Experience modeling hardware behavior, execution environments, or performance characteristics
  • Familiarity with GPUs, AI accelerators, custom silicon, or high-performance computing architectures
  • Experience debugging complex hardware/software interactions
  • Understanding of compilers, runtimes, firmware, device drivers, or other low-level systems software is valuable
  • Experience with RTL, Verilog/SystemVerilog, or hardware design workflows is a plus
A bit about us:

We're a well-funded AI infrastructure startup developing modern software at the intersection of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and specialized hardware. The team is tackling complex performance challenges associated with running modern AI workloads across emerging compute architectures.

Why join us?
  • Well-funded by leading tech investors
  • Cutting edge technical problems with complex solutions
  • Lucrative Equity in a seed stage startup
  • Competitive compensation
  • Excellent benefits (healthcare, vision, dental)
